Debra Wilson is currently the in-house legal counsel for the National Association of Independent Schools. NAIS is a membership organization that represents over 1,300 independent, K-12, day and boarding schools around the country. Through her work with NAIS, Debra has become involved with schools that work specifically with students with learning differences. This work has carried through to her community service as she also serves on the board of Trident Academy in Mount Pleasant, SC, a school that works with students with dyslexia and other learning differences. Debra sees the opportunities that CTC helps create as the logical next steps towards ensuring that SC moves towards increasing the educational and career opportunities for this underserved community within our state.
Debra received her bachelors degree in English from the University of the South (Sewanee) and received her law degree from the University of South Carolina. She lives in Mount Pleasant, SC, with her husband, James, and their two children, Timothy and Beatrice.
